Italian Menswear & Women’s wear brand, ETRO, hosted a two-day event at The Dubai Mall to showcase the AW15 ready-to-wear collections for men and women, as well as a special capsule collection designed in honor of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Oh did I mention that this event also happened to be my first event as Public Relations Specialist with the Paris Gallery Group of Companies. And what a great event it was – I am a huge fan of Etro! I have always loved the prints, colors and free-spirited style of the RTW collections and so I am super happy to be representing the brand in PR.
Against a backdrop of gold, the Ramadan Bags capsule collection showcased six different styles spanning from shoppers with detachable pouches to totes that pay tribute to Arabic art and reflect the brand’s deep passion and fascination for different cultures. Guests admired the Arabic-inspired prints such as the Arabian Desert and Courtyard along with Arabesque decorative patterns. The special collection will exclusively be available in the Middle-Eastern market starting from June 2015.
If you ask me, they make for excellent Ramadan & Eid gifting options. Oh and they are not expensive either – they only go up to AED 3,800. See? Affordable luxury at its best! Which ones do you like better? The Arabesque design or the Arabian desert and courtyard prints? At the event, the Arabesque bags were a huge hit!
The mannequins and models were adorned in ETRO AW15 fashion and accessories that transformed the venue into an autumn wonderland, owing to the kaleidoscope of fall colors that included shades of browns and burnt orange.
The women’s wear collection, inspired by the world of home interiors features a melange of different materials and patterns, patched together to create rich, new tapestry effects while the accessories in the collection play between order and intricacy with patchworks of exotic skins.
The menswear collection is rich and curated and sees military dropping the attitude, issuing uniforms with their own personal painters.
Pattern is, as always, the heart of every collection, creating for a free-spirited opulent wardrobe for both men and women. The AW15 collections will be in store by September 2015.
