A while ago, Dubai Bloggers, including yours truly were invited to #ADayatTheBeach to explore all the many offerings that The Beach by Meraas, opposite JBR has. At the beach, you can enjoy outings with family, friends, shopping and solo walks in a beautiful setting! There is something for everyone thanks to the variety of eateries, retail and cinema experiences among so many others. Popular for an astounding sea view and awe striking sunsets, THE BEACH is the perfect place to unwind and experience as one of Dubai’s most enjoyable open spaces, and a destination where urban meets the sea.
Here are some of the places we toured:
First up was Fruitero Do Brasil, a trendy fresh juice and sorbetti bar that specializes in preparing vitaminas, frullato, sorbetti and macedonie from fresh fruits and Brazilian frozen fruit pulps. The juice bar’s frozen Brazilian fruit pulps are the highest quality in the market and the variety includes acai, acerola, caja, Caju, papaya, graviola, mango, gioaba and maracuja. They also have catering options that include fruit skewers and sorbetti.
Next stop was Leopolds of London for a quick brunch and a coffee-making demo.
I had never been to LoL before and so I am glad it was part of the tour. The interior is elegant and the staff, so friendly! We had a delicious breakfast that included eggs, croissants and coffee! After one mere visit, it has definitely been added to my list of incredible breakfast spots in the city!
We then took a stroll and saw all the food carts including this Knafe Cart! Have you guys tried Knafe? Sweet deliciousness!
Next was a visit to the L’Occitane store which boasts the L’Occitane Petit Spa for mini spa treatments. L’Occitane is one of my favorite beauty brands and this branch at The Beach is the only one where you can indulge in relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatments.
Next stop on the tour was lunch at Busaba Ethai.
Busaba Ethai is a modern Thai eatery that serves up some of THE BEST Thai dishes I have ever tried here in the UAE. Do you want proof of that? Well, see that bowl of calamaris up above? I kinda couldn’t stop eating it! So what, you ask? Well, I never, ever like calamari! In fact, it normally really disgusts me however the ones they served at Busaba were so darn delicious! Next time I go there, it will be one of the things I order for sure. I also recommend the delicious spicy papaya salad and prawn tempura.
For desert, we went to chocolate heaven – Godiva. At the chocolatier and cafe, we learned the art of Godiva wrapping which was really fun to witness. If you ever need a gift box of chocolates, Godiva is the place. They also serve up the most delectable and rich chocolate shakes!
If you go all out at the eateries while at The Beach, you can work it off too at the outdoor gym run by Warehouse Gym! It is such an interesting concept. Who wouldn’t want to experience a great work out session with a view?
